Suzuki’s GSX-8R Grew a Fairing

A new look for 2024!

Exciting news from the motorbike world! Suzuki has just unveiled the 2024 GSX-8R, a fully faired sibling to the GSX-8S, and it’s got us revved up. With its 776cc parallel-Twin engine, slim chassis, and Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), this sportbike is making waves.

Drawing inspiration from the 35-year GSX-R heritage, the GSX-8R boasts sporty ergonomics and modern styling. The 776cc engine, introduced in the 2023 GSX-8S and V-Strom 800DE, packs a punch with 83 hp at 8,500 rpm and 57.5 lb-ft of torque at 6,800 rpm. The Suzuki Cross Balancer system ensures a smooth ride, minimising vibrations.

Built on a steel-pipe frame with a cast-aluminium swingarm, the GSX-8R offers an upright, forward-leaning riding position. Sporting a 3.7-gallon fuel tank and a curb weight of 452 lb, it’s designed for those who crave the thrill of sport riding.

The suspension setup is tailored for sport enthusiasts, featuring a 41mm Showa SFF-BIP fork upfront and a Showa monoshock at the rear. Braking is on point with dual 310mm front discs and a single 240mm rear disc, supported by ABS on both ends

The 5-inch TFT instrumentation showcases ride modes, traction control modes, speed, gear indicator, tachometer, fuel level, and more. LED lighting, including a stacked pair of hexagonal headlights, adds a touch of modernity.

Available in Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, or Pearl Ignite Yellow, the 2024 Suzuki GSX-8R is priced at £8899 with a 12-month, unlimited mileage warranty.
